近年来主要从事几何动力学与控制方向研究,围绕复杂多体飞行系统和空间机器人在轨服务开展:(1) 几何精确动力学建模、计算与降阶; (2) 微分流形上的几何运动规划、控制及优化; (3) 数据与知识混合驱动的人工智能。以第一作者/通讯作者在ieee transactions on industrial electronics、ieee transactions on aerospace and electronic systems、aerospace science and technology、nonlinear dynamics、iet control theory and applications、journal of the franklin institute、isa transctions等国际权威刊物上发表sci论文20余篇,他引500余次,授权发明专利14件,主持国家自然科学基金、江苏省自然科学基金、中国博士后科学基金面上项目、航天五院合作项目等,参与载人航天工程预研、民用航天预研、国家重点研发计划等重大科研项目多项。欢迎飞行器设计、力学、机械、自动化、数学等学科背景本科生报考研究生,每年招收力学、航空宇航科学与技术、机械学科的硕士研究生2名,邮箱:shidongxu@nuaa.edu.cn。
